At 2nd Beeston Sea Scouts we are committed to ensuring our leaders have the right training they need to do their role. Most recently our Scout Leader, Ben, has achieved his FSRT (Foundation Safety and Rescue Training). This is a pre-requisite that needs to be completed before he starts on his Paddlesport Instructor award. Ben completed his FSRT with Andys Courses. Andy has over 12 years experience in coaching and takes real pride in what he does, do get in touch with him for all of your Paddlesport, First Aid, Safeguarding and Bushcraft training needs!
Currently Ben relies upon other qualified people to be with him to run most water sessions. Once Ben achieves his Paddlesport Instructor award, he will then undertake a short assessment by an Approved Scout Association Assessor to check his skills so that he can take groups of young people out onto the water without the need for another qualified person there.
