SS Candy is a registered food business with Broxtowe Borough Council.
SS Candy is managed by staff with Food Safety and Hygiene Level 2 qualifications.
SS Candy has been inspected by a food hygiene inspector and been awarded a level 5 for hygiene.
We use catering quality equipment and materials to produce professional candy floss.

We undertake commercial contracts. You provide the venue and we provide the candy floss in a range of colours and flavours.All our staff are well trained and experienced.Previous customers have included:

Environmental Impact
From the outset we have been conscious of environmental impact, and have looked at our proceeses to minimize the waste that we produce, and the nature of any waste.
With the growing concern about plastics we have strived to eliminate plastics, especially non-recyclables, at all stages.
We only use sugars sold in paper packaging – which is also fairtrade (https://www.tasteandsmile.com/fairtrade).For safe storage (the paper bags can get damaged and can not be resealed) the sugar is transferred to donated plastic containers which are 5 litre bottles which we feel to be a good re-use.
We use flossine, the candy floss colour and flavour, which is supplied in recyclable plastic pots.
The sticks used for the candyfloss comes from wood that is FSC certified (Forestry Stewarship Council), and these come packaged in celophane which is biodegradeable.
With regard to the sweets that we sell, they come in bulk bags that are made of celophane (biodegradable), which we then repackage into smaller bags that are also made of celophane.
We do not use paper towels with hand washing; preferring to bring along a supply of freshly washed linen tea towels.
