Adult Volunteers

Scouting cannot survive with the support of our adult volunteer helpers and leaders.

There are many ways in which adults, including parents, can get involved in Scouting, including:

  • help with fund raising
    More ->
  • Special skills assistance – the group can benefit from volunteers who have professional skills including electrical, engineering…
    More ->
  • Committee Member – the committee supports the Scout group in delivering its programme of activities
    More ->
  • Group Occasional Helper – occasionally assisting with one of the sections (Beavers, Cubs or Scouts)
    More ->

  • Section Assistant – assist the Section Leaders and Assistant Section Leaders in delivering the programme to young people in Scouting
    More ->

  • Assistant Section Leader – supports the Section Leader in the operation of their Section
    More ->

  • Section Leader – Managing and leading the operation of a Section
    More ->

All adults who volunteer within Scouting are required to have a satisfactory DBS check undertaken through The Scout Association. This is arranged on their behalf and at no cost to the Volunteer.
