Our Scout Group, situated on Lilac Grove in Beeston,  has spare places in the Beaver Scout, Cub Scout and Scout Sections.

What is more – we are special because we are different! Not only do we offer the traditional programme of Scouting skills at all levels, we are a Sea Scout Group, offering water activities during the summer months from our Activity Centre at Barton Island on the River Trent (opposite Attenborough Nature Reserve).

All sections are open to boys and girls.

Beavers is for 6 & 7 year-olds. They meet on Thursday evenings from 6.15pm – 7.30pm

Cubs is for 8 & 9 year-olds. They meet on Mondays from 6.45pm – 8.15pm

Scouts is for 10 – 14 year-olds. They meet on Fridays from 7.30pm – 9.00pm

Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts (and their leaders) from the 2nd Beeston Sea Scout Group will be taking part in special sponsored event on Sunday 21st march to raise funds for their Group.

The aim: To row, kayak or walk from Beeston Marina  to Castle Marina in Nottingham and back!

Q: Why are they doing this?

A: They want to offer a wider range of water activities to all our members – yes, even those who are just six years old!

Q: Are they crazy?

A: Most definitely not! Their SCOUTS! They aim to raise funds for the group to spends on opening up more opportunities for young members to do more within the group, To learn scouting skills and water activity’s

Q: How much do they need to raise?

A: we aim around £2500 to purchase more equipment to open up the activities
